Soundbites From the Edge

Wikipedia: Soundbite: Characterized by a short phrase or sentence that deftly captures the essence of what the speaker is trying to say. Such key moments in dialogue (or monologue) stand out better in the audience's memory and thus become the "taste" that best represents the entire "meal" of the larger message or conversation. Sound bites are a natural consequence of people placing ever greater emphasis on summarizing ever-increasing amounts of information in their lives. Welcome.

You are doing a wonderful job acting as a country girl, what with the whole "clothesline" thing.. I am proud of you, wicker basket and all. The uptight neatly dressed types here on the East Side of Nowhere would not understand, as the "Laundry Club" is right down the street. You see, if the dryer breaks here on the lovlier than lovely East Side, we simply take all of our laundry, wet and all, and take it to the little lady at the Laundry Club. The little lady does all of your laundry, and charges you "by the pound". At day's end, you simply pick up all of your family's laundry and plunk down a measly (sp?) $40-50... And, it's folded in such a way that reminds you of an ad for REal Simple or Oprah. It's perfect! Is that gross or what? Stick to the sweet smells and sounds of the country... you are doing the right thing.
